Day 1: Arrival at Leh Airport
Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Take complete rest of the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Sham Valley Sightseeing
After leisurely breakfast visit Hall of Fame, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers). Later return back to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley (Hunder) via Khardungla
Post breakfast embark on a mesmerizing drive to the Nubra Valley which is 125 kilometers approx from Leh. On the way to Nubra Valley, cross the Khardungla pass which is 18360 ft. above the sea level and is the highest motorable pass in the world. In the afternoon, visit the Diskit and Hunder Monasteries and also the White Sand Dunes. Enjoy a camel safari on the double humped camels (on direct expense) which are found only in the Nubra Valley as far as India as concerned. Overnight at deluxe camp/hotel.
Day 4: Hunder (Nubra Valley)-Leh
Today after breakfast, start driving towards Leh. On arrival check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 5: Leh – Pangong Lake (150 kms. approx)
Early departure for Pangong Lake (approx. 150 kms, located on the Indo China Border), via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After full day of sightseeing around the lake. Later on check-in at fixed tented camp/ cottage. Overnight stay at Pangong.
Day 6: Pangong – Tsomoriri Lake via Tsagala (270 km / 9-10 hours)
Start your day early when the surroundings of the lake look even more beautiful. If you want, you can click some photographs here. Later on, start driving towards Tsomoriri Lake. The largest lake in Ladakh, it lies at an altitude of 15075 feet. You drive up to Tsagala, Chushul, Drive past Mahe Bridge and then drive towards the beautiful Tsomoriri Lake. Spot Himalayan marmots. Evening arrival at the Lake. Check-in at the tented camp/Hotel near the lake. Near the lake, you can spot as many as 34 avifauna species. Stay overnight in the camp/Hotel.
Day 7: Tso Moriri Lake – Tsokar Lake – Leh (235 km / 8-9 hours)
After an early breakfast on day 7, start driving to Leh via Tsokar Lake. On the way, take a halt to visit Puga Geo-Thermal Gas springs, visiting the Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo-Kongka pass, and further after the pass, stop by Tsokar Lake – a wetland area. Stop here for photographs. If you are interested, you can also visit the monastery of tiny Thukje village. Overnight stay in hotel in Leh Overnight stay.
Day 8: Departure
In the morning, get an assisted transfer to the airport to board flight for your onward journey.
